In the backseat, the Star Spangled Scholars and the 50 state experts in the front seat. The parents, the Global Explorers, and the masters of the Carpool Atlas three rounds, 30 questions.

Drivers. Eyes on the road. Kids eyes on the prize. Before we start the engine on round one, we have a very special VIP celebrating a birthday today, a huge happy birthday to Jessica in Vancouver, Canada, . Jessica, we heard you are an amazing artist and the fastest swimmer in your class.

We hope your birthday is a total splash. Now that [00:01:00] we've celebrated our VIP, let's get down to business, let's get ready to rumble with the first kids round. Question one, how many stripes are on the flag of the United States of America? And the answer is, 13. Did you know it's one for each of the original 13 colonies?

Question two, in which city can you find the Statue of Liberty?

And the answer is New York City. Question three, who was the very first president of the United States?

And the answer is George Washington. He's the guy on the $1 bill looking very serious. Question four, what is the largest state in the US by land area?

Question eight, what is the name of the building where the President of the United States lives and works? And the answer is the White House. All right, parents, are you ready for round two today, we are testing your knowledge of the world's deepest secrets and farthest borders. I know you're used to finding the nearest restroom or coffee shop, but let's see how you handle the far corners of the globe kids. Let's sit back and watch those parents do their work.

Question one, what is the capital city of Australia?

And the answer is Canberra. Most people guess Sydney, but you parents know better, right? Question two, the ancient city of [00:04:00] Petra, which is famous for its architecture carved directly into Red Rock, is located in which country,

and the answer is Jordan. Question three, which mountain range is the longest in the world stretching along the western coast of South America?

And the answer is the Andes. Question four, which narrow body of water separates the continent of Africa from the country of Spain?

And the answer is the Strait of Gibraltar. Question five, which European country is home to the most islands in the world with over 220,000?

And the answer is Sweden. Question six, high in the mountains of Peru, you can find the ruins of [00:05:00] which famous 15th century Inkin Citadel.

And the answer is Machu Picchu. Question seven, what is the largest country in Africa by land area?

And the answer is Algeria. Question eight. Which Asian island country is famously known as the land of the rising sun.

And the answer is Japan. Question nine. Which body of water bordered by Jordan and Israel is so salty that it is impossible for humans to sink in it? And the answer is the dead sea floating there sounds a lot more relaxing than sitting in traffic. We've got two rounds in the book, and it's onto the rumble round. This round is all about the kitchen staples and tasty treats that make our mouths water First to shout out the answer is the winner. Question one. What type of pasta is shaped like long thin strings and is often eaten with meatballs?

And the answer is spaghetti. Question two, which crunchy orange vegetable is famous for being a rabbit's favorite snack? And the answer is. Carrots. Question three. What do you call the breakfast? Food made from batter cooked on a griddle, often served in a stack with syrup, and the answer is [00:07:00] pancakes. I like mine with a mountain of butter and syrup.
